Work Information

I'm am an Office Assistant at the University of Central Florida in the Department of Mechanical, Materials and Aerospace Engineering (the coolest department in the College of Engineering).

Key responsibilities

I am basically the undergraduate secretary, taking care of all the undergraduate students needs. I process petitions, create check sheets for students that are about to graduate (some of them, I'm happy to get rid of, some of them don't try hard enough to leave us).

My most interesting assignment at the moment is working on the MMAE department brochures for the undergraduate program.

I'm also on the recruiting team for the department (believe it or not, I try to convince students to stay in this major and to join either the AE or ME program, it works sometime)

Personal Interests

Meeting people. I enjoy speaking to people, you can actually learn a lot from different cultures.

Outdoors are my favorite (in the right weather). Some of my favorite games are volleyball, tennis and cricket. I enjoy going places.

I have an obsession with flying vehicles. I can admire them for hours (if I had the chance to). I absolutely enjoy watching planes, and looking at the space shuttle lift off and land.

My Family

My little princess…This is Rabiah Illasarie, she's 2 1/2 years old. Her hobbies are dancing, reading and making a mess, this is her "pretty face" pose. She's an absolute wonder, loves to chat and knows how to get what she wants from her grandparents and her uncles. She's the 1st grandchild on my side of the family and the 2^nd on her one on her father's side of the family.
