- 1.To appreciate the history and aesthetics of traditional
MesoAmerican arts.
- 2.To understand the continuities between historic and contemporary
Meso American arts
- 3. To understand anthropological, art historical, and folklore
theories and methods for analyzing the arts made
by peoples of middle America.
- 4. To appreciate the religious basis for MesoAmerican Arts.

- 1. Attendance at all lectures; ONLY two absences allowed. After two
absences, bring Doctor's note. (4 credits)
- 2. Participation in class discussions.
- 3. Spiral notebook for taking notes, 3 ring notebook for handouts.

- 8. One class presentation, on a research topic. (5 credits)
