Hello! My name is Chris Rohner. I am a second-year graduate student in Creative Writing. One philosophy I have adopted since completing my first year at UCF is that my writing education will by no means end upon graduation. I now see writing as a true craft, one with countless tools and techniques that must be learned and relearned over time. In other words, I have discovered that writing is work! When I am not writing, I am usually practicing another "lifelong" discipline: karate. Having started in the martial arts before beginning my writing pursuits, I immediately found parallels in terms of the commitment and indomitable spirit it takes to reach ones goals. I hope to pass on such philosophies-and develop new ones-as a consultant in the University Writing Center.
