Writing is not something that I focus on only when I'm working in the University Writing Center. I started writing some pretty bad poems back in middle school. It was a productive way for me to shed some pre-adolescent hostility without getting myself grounded. But now my interest in and love of writing is leading me to a graduate program in poetry and fiction, and, ultimately, a career as a Creative Writing professor. My history with writing has been personal, academic, creative, editorial, and professional. I look forward to using these experiences to benefit my peers who come to the Writing Center with a positive attitude and an open mind.
