Figure skating is my absolute passion. As soon as I packed my bags and left Puerto Rico behind, which was around six years ago, I began to take group and private lessons.

The ripping noise the ice made as I glided onto fresh ice, the force of the wind on my cheeks as I spun, and the butterflies I felt as I took off for a jump all fascinated me. Right now, I am nineteen years old and still hooked on skating.

My love for the sport actually helped me pick a course of study. Besides sports, I have always loved the health field; therefore, I thought I should incorporate both things into my major. I am planning on completing a bachelor's degree in athletic training and a master's degree in pysical therapy. My goal is to work with either one of the famous skating tours as their athletic trainer/physical therapist or at a local rink doing the same thing. I also would like to, someday, open my own physical therapy clinic where I can incorporate dance (my other passion) into my client's routine of rehabilitation.
