Hometown

I am now 27 years old and spent the first 17 years of my life in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. I hated every minute of it and wished for a slower town. When I graduated high school, I moved to Brevard County and currently reside in Cocoa Beach. It was a great move for me, and I certainly appreciate the much more simple way of life.

Current Studies

I am currently working towards my M.A. in English with a Community College Teaching Track and hope to graduate sometime in 2009. I have been enjoying online courses for the past year, but I am really excited about working with students on an actual campus.

Writing Intensive Courses and Experience

Because I am so comfortable putting my thoughts on paper, I have taken a lot of courses that require a ton of writing. I have never enrolled in creative writing classes or technical writing courses because, quite honestly, I really just like to write papers in general. No matter the class or subject matter, there’s something so wonderful about completing a coherent paper that flows like a river; it gives me goose bumps! I have, however, taken Writing for Public Relations and many Literature and Composition courses that have Gordon Rule requirements.

Special Interests

I’m certainly a fun-loving individual, but if I were only allowed to have one hobby, I would without a doubt choose cooking. I love to watch people enjoy the fruits of my labor, and it gives me great pleasure to feed the masses at family events. I often receive Publix gift cards for the holidays, and they’re actually my gift of choice. But, other than whipping up edible delights, I love to go to music festivals, concerts, and sporting events.

Jenna on Writing

Nothing is more pleasing then being able to put your exact thoughts on paper. When you get your point across in the exact same manner that it was brewing in your brain, it’s a fantastic accomplishment. For me, writing is my communication method of choice. When you speak, there’s no eraser for your mouth. But, when you write, there’s always the delete key.
