Assignment In groups, you will all present a chapter (or chapters) from the textbook to the class. Your job in this assignment is to act as the teacher. You should present the information in a way that your colleagues will gain insight into the topic. Your presentation should serve as a substitute for reading the material but it should not be a simple recitation of the textbook. Try to use illustrations or examples to demonstrate the information as opposed to summarizing it. Put yourself in the position of teacher but remember what it is like to be the student. Try to present the information in a way that will keep the audience's attention. For each presentation you must:
You are responsible for making copies for the class (there are 31 students). Each group member must speak in the presentation. Presentations should be between 20 and 30 minutes. You are welcome to include a participation section, where you ask your colleagues to participate in the presentation in some way; however, this should not take the place of the presentation. If you can devise a short exercise that will demonstrate the information, then include the exercise. |
