I am a lifelong Central Florida resident. I am the accountant for the Industrial Engineering and Management Systems college of Engineering and Computer Science. I have a degree in Computer Science; attend Valencia Community College, Boston College, Queens College and UCF. My family originally set up residence in Winter Park, Florida in the early 1900’s . My family and I have seen this community grow by leaps and bounds. And I have also seen the University of Central Florida grow into one of the largest University’s in the nation of which I am proud to be a part of. |
Ric Colón, Parliamentarian:
Born and raised in NYC to the familiar Colón, after 13 yrs of life there we moved to the beautiful island of Puerto Rico. Here, I completed school (College) in accounting and worked for about 16 yrs in the banking industry, both in PR and in Orlando. After this time, within the banking industry, I thought it was time for a change, a change where I could apply my experience and knowledge to help others, Financial Aid.
Currently working as a Sr. Financial Aid Officer at UCF since 2003 I have been able to do such. I have also had the pleasure to assist many parents as well as students learn about other financial aid opportunities available to them which previously they did not know about. Maritza Pomale:
I was born in Puerto Rico and grew up in Boston, Massachusetts. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Latin American Studies from Brandeis University in Boston. I am married to my husband William, whom I have known since the 1st grade! We have two daughters (Tatiana & Karina) I moved to Florida in 2005, and have been working at the Information Technologies & Resources Dept. at UCF since July, 2006. I’m currently on my second term with the Staff Council, and am currently serving as the chair of the Scholarship Committee.

This is my second year on Council and am currently serving as Secretary. I moved to Florida from Michigan 21 years ago, have been with UCF since 2002, and have a son and daughter who are UCF students. |
