"Joining the Psychological Society at UCF is a great way to get involved! It allows oppurtunities for students to expand their knowledge of the psychology field while meeting different professionals who can give insight to undergraduates about graduate school and oppurtunites after graduation. Students can get access to volunteer activites, research positions, social events and so much more by being a part of Psych Society and meeting new people!"


Vice President: Brendan Monaghan

"Hey! My name is Brendan Monaghan, I'm a junior, and I am very excited to be the Vice President this year. I am a psychology major with a minor in cognitive sciences. I'm currently considering also minoring in cultural anthropology. I am very involved on campus and the Psych Society has really help me figure out what I want to do after I graduate. I plan on getting my Ph.D in Clinical Psychology. I'm also the Director of Housing Affairs for the Honors Congress, a resident assistant in Tower III, and a research assistant for the DELTA lab here on campus."


Treasurer: Amber Dukes

"Hey! I'm Amber Dukes and I will be the Treasurer for Psych Society this year. Joining Psych Society is a great way to get networking experience here on campus - plus, the speakers are always exciting. I'm heavily involved in research here on campus and I am always willing to sit down and chat about research and other nerdy stuff. I am President of Active Minds - a mental health advocacy organization on campus and I am also a member of the Student Undergraduate Research Council. Looking forward to working with you all!"


Secretary: Amy Strunin

"Hi everyone! My name is Amy Strunin and I am so excited to be the Secretary of the Psychological Society this year! I am a senior majoring in Psychology and after graduating I plan on going to graduate school to obtain my Masters in Social Work and become a therapist. Psychology has been a huge interest of mine for many years now, and I think the Psych Society is a great way for student's at UCF to learn about the different fields Psychology has to offer and get involved. Aside from the Psych Society, I am the Volunteer UCF Domestic Violence Director and I enjoy going to the beach, traveling, and reading."


Historian: Maria Carrillo

" Hi, my name is Maria Carrillo and I am a sophomore majoring in Psychology. I am really looking forward to being the club's Historian this year. I first learned about the Psychological Society my Freshman year while looking for ways to get involved. The Psychological Society has helped me decide what areas of Psychology I am interested in persuing for graduate school. I have also met many diverse people through the club. I think Psych Society is the best way to get involved and learn about the many different opportunities a major in Psychology has to offer, while having fun at the same time."


Event Coordinator: Takema James

"Hello Everyone! My name is Takema James and I will be the Event Coordinator for the Psychological Society this year. I am a senior majoring in Psychology with an interest in Speech Pathology and Sex Therapy. I am from St. Croix, United States Virgin Islands. My interests include reading, dancing, and volunteering. I love being in the Psychological Society because it creates opportunities for research, major exploration and networking. I encourage everyone to apply and become a part of the best Psychological Society ever!"


Volunteer Coordinator: Katie Sost

"Hi everyone! My name is Katie Sost and I look forward to being the volunteer coordinator for this year's Psychological Society. I am a senior here at UCF majoring in Psychology. Being a part of the psychological Society will offer you a comfortable environment to network with peers and professionals in areas that interest you. This is a great way for you to learn about the many areas psychology has to offer and to GET INVOLVED!"
