Student Chapter Conducts HFES International
Book Project.
January, 2000. The UCF Student Chapter has agreed
to organize the HFES International Book Project. This project takes donated
books in the Human Factors and Ergonomics fields and sends them to libraries
around the world where they are available to students of Human Factors
and Ergonomics who otherwise would not have access to such specialized
publications.
The UCF Chapter is the pipeline which processes
the donated materials and sends them overseas. At present, eleven
libraries around the world have received books through this program, and
four more libraries have been identified. The first shipment of donated
materiels have been processed by UCF volunteers and is expected to be sent
out shortly.
If you would like to volunteer to assist
in this project, contact UCF Student Chapter President Jim
Hitt.
