Congratulations to Eric Tsai of Columbus High School in Columbus, GA. Eric wins the Casio CFX-9850G Color Graphing calculator.

The Racers

If A can beat B by 0.1 of a mile in a 2-mile race, and B can beat C by 0.2 of a mile in a 2-mile race, by what distance could A beat C in a 2-mile race? Give your answer to the nearest hundredth of a mile. The assumption is that each runner maintains a constant pace for this problem, even though that is highly unlikely in real life.
