THE BIG
SHOW.
The most
electrifying team in UCF Intramural Flag Football History.
1997:
2-5, 0-1 in Playoffs
1998:
4-1-1, 0-1 in Playoffs
... And
on the seventh day... Hollywood created the Big Show. Last year, we faltered,
fumbled, and argued... this year, we turn it
around.
back for another season in the sun, the UCF Intramural Flag Football team
known as the Big Show is back... with a new
look,
a new attitude, and a style all their own.
What makes
this team so good, you ask? Why should I come out and watch the Big Show
in action? Well, here's why...
Torrey
Spears. Quarterblack. After a rocky first two starts to the Big Show season,
Spears found his stride... found his receivers...
and the
Big Show founded success. Back for another year under the KK Offensive
system, Spears looks to a veteren recieveing core
to better
last year's 10 touchdown 9 interception performance. Spears will be once
again looking to his ace, Kris Kleiner, to score a
lot of
points. But this new revamped offense should have people turning their
heads come the end of October!
Kris Kleiner.
Last year's MVP is back with a determination to lead the Big Show to New
Orleans. Kleiner, who led the Big Show in
TD receptions
last year, is back at wide out, and playing the role of defensive captain.
Look for KK to have another outstanding
year.
Lucas Henderson.
Lucas moves from wide out to halfback, where the Big Show can better use
his speed and quickness. Henderson
will also
double duty at corner this year, hoping to have a big season picking off
passes.
Tony Agolini.
Last year, Big Show missed this tight end's talent for most of the year,
but this year, Agolini has made a solid
commitment
to the Big Show. In pre-season, Agolini was the go to guy on 3rd down situations,
showing great hands, and his
trademark
'ball fake' that always seems to get him more yards.
Ron Mathews.
Ron put in an extensive off season work regiment, and so far, it's paid
off big. Ron moves to tight end this year
from half
back, and hasn't let anyone down with great blocks, and his surprisingly
good hands. Could be another sleeper to score
big points
for Big Show.
Josh Watters.
#13 is back after an injury plagued Big Show season. He has the potential
to be a great one... tall, fast, great hands,
athleticism.
Watters will line up opposite Kleiner, for one of the deadliest wide out
tandems in all of UCF.
Blane Brady.
Romeo Brady signed on this off season, and brings another pair of great
hands and quick feet to the Big Show. Brady
has always
impressed in his work outs, and will be a reliable boost off the bench.
Alex Comis.
Hollywood is back and in effect!!! Leading the Big Show O-Line, Comis has
about the most important job on the
field...
delivering the snaps. A veteren snapper, Comis also has great hands and
can work up and down the field as a "third TE".
Heath Kamp.
Our defensive anchor. Heath Kamp is a QB's worst nightmare. Fast off the
line, great hands... Kamp will be vying
for defensive
MVP honors this year.
All in
all, this is shaping up to be one great season. Here's to the Big Show
II ... in their quest to be Mercury B Division
Champions!!
