- Reminder: Any CDs and video examples shown in class are returned to the UCF Library a few days after their use. You may find these items through the list of "Supplemental" items on the course web site.

- Use the "Red Hot Jazz" link to access that external web site for supplemental materials. In particular, look for background information on such figures as Buddy Bolden, Freddie Keppard, James Reese Europe, and the Original Dixieland Jazz Band (ODJB). In addition to biographical information, sample a few of the sound files that you find.
- Anyone having difficulty playing the streaming audio on the Red Hot Jazz Archive should check that their computer includes the "Real Player." If you lack this piece of free software, follow the link on the RHJA information page to download a copy.
