12 OCTOBER 09 (MON - Day 21)

  3. On Wednesday we resume where we left off in Chapter 4 on the Beatles, so get back to your reading in the text book.

  3. Read through the Course Syllabus. Be certain that you understand all aspects of the syllabus, as the syllabus constitutes a type of contract between you and me.
  4. Look especially at the publisher-maintained web site for What's That Sound? (follow the third link on the course's home web page). Be certain that you understand how the site is organized and where to find specific resources.
  5. Purchase / Acquire course textbook and other materials. Numerous copies are available in the UCF bookstore, but you are free to buy or borrow your book from other sources, if you prefer.
  6. Continue reading the "Introduction" of Covach (pp. 2-13), as well as the transitional pp. 14-15 and as much of Chapter 1 (pp. 16-53) as you can.
