Sports and Fitness is a new and exciting undergraduate degree. Unique attributes of this degree are:

  • Completion of 33 hour specializations
  • Hands-on-experience with partners in Sports and Fitness Consortium
  • Student will receive 3 certifications prior to graduation
  • Student will become a member of 3 associations approved by advisor prior to graduation
  • 18 hours of practicum with 2 different types of experiences

Graduates will be prepared for positions with school and university athletic programs, community sports organizations, private and public fitness and recreation programs, and multipurpose facilities.

Through partnerships in Clermont, program facilities include an aquatic center (70 meter pool; heated and handicapped accessible), aerobics and weight training rooms, physical therapy and rehabilitation programs, a human performance lab, community health education and resource centers, multipurpose athletic fields, and a recently approved field house currently in the design phase.
