-cover the National Convention in D.C. this October

Meetings

Our next meeting will be in March 26th at 5 p.m. in COM 213. Your cover letter for a journalism job or internship can make or break you. It must be compelling, persuasive and concise--and it's not like a business cover letter! Join editors and producers from Orlando Weekly, Central Florida News 13 and Orlando Business Journal in a workshop on the best--and worst--ways to write a cover letter. Bring your own cover letter and get professional advice. Network with other journalists and discuss internship opportunities. And, as always, free pizza.

We are the UCF chapter of the nation's largest, most broad-based journalism organization, the Society of Professional Journalists. We welcome members interested in print, broadcast or online journalism.

We host workshops and meetings based on expanding professional knowledge.

Our last meeting in February dealt with Online Journalism. We had panelists from WESH News, the Orlando Sentinel, Channel 13 News and the University of Central Florida.
