Course Requirements and Grading:

  1. Exams. there will be three unit tests and a comprehensive final. Each exam counts 15 pints (60 total points). NO MAKE-UP EXAMS ARE GIVEN UNLESS EXTRAORDINARY CIRCUMSTANCES ARE DOCUMENTED.

  2. Lab Work. The lab will involve the completion of a major research project worth 20 pints. You will earn the other 20 pints by attending the lab sessions and completing the homework assignments. Each lab session is worth 2 points. You will get cred it for a lab session by attending AND having competed any assignments due that day. THERE ARE NO MAKE-UP SESSIONS.


Class Rules

  1. No late assignments will be accepted. Also, if you miss a lab session you may not hand in the assignment for that week.

  2. No audible beepers, pagers, or cellular phones are allowed in the classroom.

  3. If you so desire, you may have no more than 2 partners on your research project. Be aware, however, the more partners you have, the more trouble you may encounter!
