A little about our Electrthon Vehicle Design:

The Electrathon Race is held annualy in Florida and other States. The Electrathon race is an event that has teams design and build one man long range electric vehicles. The race lasts one hour and the victor of the race has gone the farthest distance during that hour on a single charge. All vehicles run on a DC system that has 24 volts or less. This year UCF will be competing with a 24 volt 2 horse power vehicle. The vehicle is designed in the cycle car configuration, two wheels in front one in the rear. The frame will be a space frame design made of Aluminum 1 1/4 tubing. The body will be constructed of fiberglass cloth with an epoxy resin plug and the drive train will consist of a single gear reduction through a belt drive.
