Mid-Life Crisis



 

Mid-Life Crisis is an autobiographical comedy about a film professor in Los Angeles, up for tenure, who experiences a crisis when his wife threatens to leave him for a rock & roll band.

The film was shot as a collaborative effort between Wildcat Productions and the students at the University of Central Florida Motion Picture Division, where producer-director Robert Jones teaches film production. Students alternated on all crew positions, working with professionals, and acting in all the student roles.

The film features Alex Saccavino, Grace Mitchell,Paul Sanders, and Paul Ferrell. Director of Photography was David Bittle, and sound recordists were Steve Willer and Nils Warren. It was written by Robert Jones and Desiree Jones. It was produced and directed by Robert Jones.

Partially funded by a faculty grant, Mid-Life Crisis, was shot on 16mm color negative over a period of 6 days in Orlando and Los Angeles. Mid-Life Crisis was expanded into the feature "Hollywood Capri".
