
Hollywood Capri is an autobiographical feature comedy about a film professor in Los Angeles, up for tenure, who experiences a crisis when his wife threatens to leave him for a rock & roll band.
The film was shot as a collaborative effort between Wildcat Productions and the students at the University of Central Florida Film & Animation Division, where producer-director Robert Jones teaches film production. Students alternated on all crew positions, working with professionals, and acting in all the student roles.
The film features Alex Saccavino, Erika Ness, Lee Miller Dawson, Kelly Collins Lintz, Paul Sanders, Paul Ferrell and David Preuss. Director of Photography was Tony Foresta, and sound recordists were Steve Willer and Nils Warren. It was written by Gregory Black & Robert Jones. Additional scenes and dialogue were written by Desiree Jones. It was directed and produced by Robert Jones.
Partially funded by a faculty grant, Hollywood Capri, was shot on 16mm color negative over a period of 18 days in Orlando and Los Angeles. It will be released to film festivals in hopes of finding a distributor. Running time is 81 minutes.
