Men's Officers

President - David Rivas

David Rivas is a 3rd year rower for the University of Central Florida. He began his rowing career in high school where he rowed for 4 years at Lake Brantley. David is a Marketing major and plans to go into sales after college.His experiences on and off the water give him the right qualifications to be Captain and President, leading the team to new heights and endeavors.

Vice President - Philipp Birk

Phil is a 3rd year rower, who had no rowing experience prior to joining the team his freshmen year. During high school he played tennis, which he still pursues as an alternative activity. He is avid rower who is always striving to achieve new goals. In the past he has won several races, such as the Open 8+ event at the most recent Head of the Hooch Regatta in Tennessee. His current goal is to medal at Dad Vails in Philadelphia

Secretary - Caitlyn Shaughnessy

Caitlyn is a 4th year rower. She rowed on the women's team for three years and is now a men's varsity coxswain. At UCF she studies Biology in hopes of attending veterinary school and one day she aspires to travel to Africa to pursue the study large animals.

Treasurer - Seve Aguinaga

Seve is a lightweight rower who began rowing in the Fall of 2008. He is a junior majoring in Business Economics.In high school he played football and was on the wrestling team. His novice year, he placed first at Southern Erg Sprints in his division.

Women's Officers

President - Katelyn Taylor

Katelyn is a 4th year rower and student at UCF. Her major is Microbiology and Molecular Biology with a minor in Health Sciences. She is from Sarasota, FL and played Softball, Weight lifted, and played Golf in high school. Her plan is to go into the medical field after graduating from UCF.

Vice President - Brittany Haywood

Originally from Texas, her new home town is Clermont, FL. She graduated from South Lake High in 2008. In highschool she participated in Varsity Track & Field, Varsity Swimming, and Varsity Weightlifting. She began her rowing career her freshman year in the Fall of 2008 and earned the Novice of the Year award that year.

Secretary - Jessie Perry

Extremely and exceedingly peculiar and all-together impossible to describe... and obviously a fan of musicals. Jessie is a second year rower, a member of the Marching Knights, and a Co-author of the UCF Art Department's "The Hive". (A research project designed to integrate multiple disciplines within the school and implement peer-to-peer learning in the class room.) She enjoys reading, writing, painting and exploring outside. She is currently enrolled in the Visual arts/ Animation track at UCF in hopes of becoming a storyboard artist for Pixar, a character artist for a major gaming company...or maybe a cowboy if none of that plays out.

Fund-raising - Gonzalo Carrillo

Gonzalo is a 2nd year rower. He is currently attending graduate school at UCF for MIS and Accounting. He had no experience before but is now addicted to the sport.

Recruitment - Rob Harmony

Rob is a 2nd year rower. Before coming to UCF, he rowed for 4 years at Edgewater High School. He is currently a Molecular & Microbiology major and hopes to follow in his grandfather's foot steps into the veterinary field.

Public Relations - Austin Hooper

Austin is a 4th year rower who is double majoring in Finance and International Studies, with a minor in International Business. He also plays rugby for the UCF club team. He plans on joining the military after graduating and later would like to pursue economic development work in Africa. Austin is an avid fan of history, literature, and sports.rn
