(Nighttime in the forest. Tracey and Togepi are asleep but Ash, Misty, and Pikachu are still awake)

Ash: You know what Misty?

Misty: Yes, Ash?

Ash: I love……….

Misty: You love what? (smiles)

Ash: My Pikachu! Isn’t that right, pal?

Pikachu: Pika Pika!!

Misty: (mad) You’re always.love your Pokémon, don’t you love anything… anyone else?

Ash: I love my mom!

Misty: That’s obvious!!!!

Ash: What do you want me to say?

Misty: Nothing now…. Forget I said anything to you. (starts to walk away)

Ash: Wait up, Misty. Well, I…I…I care about you as well.

Misty: (turns around) You do? Why didn’t you come out and say that first?

Ash: I didn’t know if you had felt the same way about me as I do about you.

Misty: Ash, to me you seemed to be always caught up in your Pokémon, and finding that next gym to win a badge, I thought you never even thought about me at all but just a friend.

Ash: But you are not just a friend, like Brock, Professor Oak, and now Tracey is. You’re a beautiful girl and it is just a privilege to see you everyday walking and talking with me and Tracey on our adventures through this Pokémon World that we’re in.

Misty: Ash………..I…I…care about you too. I’m also glad when you win those badges too because it makes me feel good on the inside as well.

Ash: It does.

Misty: Yes… it does. I love you, Ash Ketchum.

Ash: I… I… love you too, Misty.

Then they kiss softly under the moon and stars.
