Robert Reed Biography

I was born in 1954, and moved quite a bit in my childhood. I was raised in Hawaii, and spent my teen years in southern Indiana. I settled in Florida, and married at age 31. Daughter Gina was born in 1992, and we three, plus a dog and two cats, are a blessed and happy family with growing and diverse interests.

I've always been an avid user of computers and technology. After 20 years of business marketing, research and management, I was burned out, and decided to switch to more technical work. I now do less technical stuff than when I started working in higher education in 1996, but I still build databases and websites, and I've got a keen interest in information policy.

I enjoy singing, and in the last few years I've begun performing. I'm a barbershop and doowop singer (baritone), and also am privileged to perform with the Orlando Opera Company chorus.
