PsycINFO (American Psychological Association) - Covers scholarly literature in these subject areas and more: experimental psychology (human, animal, and comparative), psychosexual behavior, educational psychology, applied psychology, and sports psychology. Includes original research and journal articles, literature reviews, reports of surveys, case studies, theoretical discussions, bibliographies, and descriptions of tests and apparatus. Indexed materials are selected from more than 1,300 journals published in 50 countries and 28 languages. Most records have abstracts. Dates of coverage: 1887+
Social Sciences Abstracts (FirstSearch database) - Covers some 350 core periodicals in the fields of anthropology, economics, geography, law and criminology, political science, social work, sociology, and international relations. Dates of coverage: 1983+
SocioAbs (FirstSearch database) - Contains records from 252 Englishlanguage journals, selected by Sociological Abstracts, Inc., on the basis of relevance to the traditional undergraduate sociology/social science curriculum. Dates of coverage: 1963+
WilsonSelect (FirstSearch database) - Contains indexed and abstracted articles from periodicals, all with ASCII full text online. The database is comprised of records from the following H.W. Wilson databases: Readers' Guide Abstracts, Social Sciences Abstracts, Humanities Abstracts, General Science Abstracts and Wilson Business Abstracts. Dates of coverage: 1994+
Sociological Abstracts (Cambridge Scientific Abstracts database) - a primary resource for accessing the latest research sponsored in sociology and related disciplines in the social and behavioral sciences. The database draws information from an international selection of over 2,600 journals and other serials publications, plus conference papers, books, and dissertations. Records added after 1974 contain in-depth and nonevaluative abstracts of journal articles. Social Planning/Policy & Development Abstracts (SOPODA) is also included as a subfile, providing additional literature on policy issues addressing violence, abuse, neglect, aging, health, energy, environment, housing, education, women and development, disaster preparedness and risk assessment. Dates of coverage: 1963+
Lexis-Nexis Academic Universe - provides more than 9.5 million documents from over 18,300 sources. Lexis-Nexis Universe provides access to company profiles and financial reports, government transcripts, trade journals and academic and legal databases. Their files are updated with full-text documents from general interest wire services, newspapers, and magazines from around the world.
Congressional Universe - gives researchers access to vast and varied information published by and about Congress. In addition to the indexing and abstracting of the CIS/Index to Publications of the U.S. Congress from 1970, Congressional Universe provides the tools for:
