ERIC - is a guide to published and unpublished sources on thousands of educational topics, with information from RIE (Resources in Education) and CIJE (Current Index to Journals in Education). Each file has a current file (1988 - to date) and a backfile (1967-87). The ERIC database is also available at http://ericir.syr.edu/Eric/. The ERIC/AE Test Locator is available at http://www.ericae.net/testcol.htm. The ERIC Thesaurus is available through Cambridge Scientific Abstracts, as well as at http://ericae.net/scripts/ewiz/amain2.asp. Academic Index - indexes articles in approximately 1000 scholarly journals and popular magazines in the arts, humanities, social sciences, science and technology. Abstracts are included for some articles. Provides access to ASCII full text of some articles. Dates of coverage: 1982+
UnCover - is a database of current article information taken from more than 17,000 multidisciplinary journals. It contains brief descriptive information about over 7,000,000 articles published since Fall 1988. The UCF Library is subsidizing document delivery service in the UnCover database for Faculty and Graduate students.
Dissertation Abstracts (FirstSearch database) - covers every doctoral dissertation completed in the U.S. at accredited institutions for the last 150 years. Includes some master's theses and foreign language dissertations. Dates of coverage: 1861+
Education Abstracts (FirstSearch database) - English-language periodicals and yearbooks published in the U.S. and elsewhere. Subjects include administration, teaching methods and curriculum, literacy, government funding, and more. Dates of coverage: 1983+
DataTimes (FirstSearch database) - provides abstracts for approximately 126 newspapers, 92 of which are regional U.S. newspapers. The other 34 titles are from financial and regional newspapers published outside the U.S. Dates of coverage: 1996+
FactSearch (FirstSearch database) - is a guide to statistical statements on current social, economic, political, environmental and health issues, derived from some newspapers, periodicals, newsletter and documents such as the Christian Science Monitor, the Congressional Record, Congressional hearings, Daily Press Briefings of the White House, State Department and Department of Defense, and Australian, British and Canadian Parliamentary Debates. Web links to free full text are included frequently.
PAIS International (FirstSearch database) - indexes articles, books, conference proceedings, government documents, book chapters, and statistical directories about public affairs. Dates of coverage: 1972+
WilsonSelect (FirstSearch database) - contains indexed and abstracted articles from periodicals, all with ASCII full text online. The database includes records from the following H.W. Wilson databases: Readers' Guide Abstracts, Social Sciences Abstracts, Humanities Abstracts, General Science Abstracts and Wilson Business Abstracts. Dates of coverage: 1994+
Sociological Abstracts (Cambridge Scientific Abstracts database) - a primary resource from an international selection of over 2,600 journals and other serials publications, plus conference papers, books, and dissertations. Social Planning/Policy & Development Abstracts (SOPODA) is also included as a subfile, providing additional literature on policy issues addressing violence, abuse, neglect, aging, health, energy, environment, housing, education, women and development, disaster preparedness and risk assessment. Dates of coverage: 1963+
Congressional Universe (CIS) - gives researchers access to vast and varied information published by and about Congress, including full text of almost all Committee Reports from 1990 forward and Congressional testimony from 1988 forward, and indexing & abstracting from the CIS/Index to Publications of the U.S. Congress from 1970 forward.
Statistical Universe (CIS) - provides the full text of Statistical Abstract of the U. S., plus indexing and abstracts (with some full text available) from American Statistics Index (ASI), Statistical Reference Index (SRI), and Index to International Statistics (IIS).
Academic Universe (CIS/Lexis-Nexis) - provides more than 9.5 million documents from over 18,300 sources, including access to company profiles and financial reports, government transcripts, trade journals and academic and legal databases. Their files are updated with full-text documents from general interest wire services, newspapers, and magazines from around the world.
Peterson's GradSearch (GaleNet database) - contains the entire text of Peterson's Graduate and Professional Programs database, the most comprehensive database on graduate study available. The database covers 31,000 graduate academic departments at more than 1,600 degree-granting institutions.

provides abstracts and indexing for over 3,100 scholarly journals covering the social
sciences, humanities, education and more. Also offers full

Includes coverage of over 1,700 peer-reviewed journals. The Professional Development
Collection provides a highly specialized collection of electronic information especially
for professional educators, from children's health and development to cutting-edge
pedagogical theory and practice.

databases in a wide selection of subjects, including article indexes, full text newspapers, directories and more.
Approximately 33 databases are identified for the topic "Education", including
Public Opinion Online (POLL) which provides the full text of public opinion surveys
