(ProQuest database) provides thorough indexing of over 100 U.S., British and Canadian
journals in these disciplines: corrections, criminal law, criminology, drug abuse, family
law, juvenile justice, police studies, prison administration, rehabilitation, and security
systems. Available in print INDEX HV6001.C754 from 1975 to Sep 1998. Available

- Criminal Justice Abstracts
(SilverPlatter database) is available on campus (& off-campus using Pegasus dial-up),
indexing the major journals in criminology and related disciplines, books, and reports
from government and non-governmental agencies. Dates of coverage: 1968+
- Universe Databases (CIS/Lexis-Nexis)
- Academic Universe provides more than 9.5 million documents from over
18,300 sources. Lexis-Nexis Universe provides access to company profiles and financial
reports, government transcripts, trade journals and academic and legal databases. Their
files are updated with full-text documents
from general interest wire services, newspapers, and magazines from around the
world. Congressional Universe - gives researchers access to vast
and varied information published by and about Congress. Congressional Universe has full text of almost all Committee Reports from
1990 forward and Congressional testimony from 1988 forward. Statistical Universe
(CIS) - provides the full text of Statistical
Abstract of the U. S., plus indexing and abstracts (with some full text available)
from American Statistics Index (ASI), Statistical Reference Index (SRI),
and Index to International Statistics (IIS).
- World Law Index (Eureka database)
- Index to Hispanic Legislation, contains records describing the national laws,
decree-laws, regulations, etc. taken from official legal gazettes of 29 countries studied
by the Hispanic Law Division of the Library of Congress Law Library. These include the
Spanish-speaking countries of Latin America, plus Haiti, Brazil, the Philippines,
Portugal, Spain, and nations from the Portuguese-African region. Dates of coverage:

- Index to Foreign Legal Periodicals
(Eureka database) - Contains citations from
legal journals and other publications covering international law other than the US,
British Isles and British Commonwealth. Dates of coverage: 1985+

(Library of Congress) - provides a database of laws, regulations and other complementary
legal sources for various countries of the world.
- PAIS International (FirstSearch
database) - Indexes articles, books, conference
proceedings, government documents, book chapters, and statistical directories about public
affairs. Available in print INDEX

- EBSCOhost Academic Search Elite
provides abstracts and indexing for over 3,200 scholarly journals covering the social
sciences, humanities, education and more. Also offers full
text for over 1,000 journals with many dating back to 1990. Includes
coverage of over 1,700 peer-reviewed journals.

- Columbia International Affairs Online
is designed to be the most comprehensive source for theory and research in international
affairs. It publishes a wide range of scholarship from 1991 on that includes working
papers from university research institutes, occasional papers series from NGOs,
foundation-funded research projects, and proceedings from conferences.
- JSTOR provides full text, page image from over 100 scholarly
journals, including American Journal of International Law
(1907-2001), Political
Science Quarterly (1886-1997) and International Organization
(1947-1996).
- netLibrary provides approximately
20,000 full text ebooks for previewing or
2-hour checkout.
- Political Risk Yearbook Online
contains unbiased detailed political risk assessment for 100 strategic countries based on
the research & knowledge of political & economic analysts & consultants.
Includes social & economic conditions, business climate, forecasts, trade information
& more. Data is updated annually in January.
