General Event Guidelines & Information
- Bikes, Motorcycles, Skateboards, In-Line Skates, Scooters, and vehicles are not permitted on the (red) track surface. Wheelchairs and soft-wheeled strollers are permitted.
- Please keep your pet at home. Pets, other than service animals, are not permitted inside the outer gate of the track facility.
- Please refrain from dripping grease or other liquids on the track or field. We suggest that you use tin or foil under grills. Please dump coals in sand pit next to the dumpster behind the Arena.
- Please do not allow children to play with the sand in the long jump pits. If the sand is spread out onto the red track surface, the surface will be damaged.
- Please keep all campsites free of garbage and debris. There are several trash receptacles located around the perimeter of the track and these are emptied on a regular basis. After Relay you will need to dispose of your site props off campus. You will not be permitted to dispose of your props in any of the UCF trash receptacles, dumpsters or trash compactors.
- The University of Central Florida Police Department will provide security. Should you have any security issues, please direct them to the registration booth and UCF Police will assist you in any way possible.
- Alcoholic Beverages and smoking are prohibited at Relay for Life.
- Medical care and the "Lost & Found" are located at the registration booth, near the track entrance.
- Restrooms are available in the first floor of the UCF Arena.
- Music will be turned down (not off) and all generators must be turned off during quiet hours (2am - 6am).
Site Set-up
- Please do not dig holes in the infield of the soccer playing area.
- Please use extreme caution when using stakes to secure equipment (i.e., tents) into the ground. If you meet any resistance, please stop immediately. Do not try to force the stake at that location.. Simply move the stake 6" - 8" away from the area of resistance so that the irrigation pipes are avoided. If you have any questions or concerns about the placement of stakes, please contact Arena Management or the logistics committee for assistance.
- The UCF Site layout is designed to have aisles between campsites. Please do not block these aisles with ropes, tents, grills or other items related to your site.
- General parking is available to the west (left) of the Arena. The smaller lot to the south of the track and field (right of the Arena) is reserved for survivors only. There is a drop off area located at the circular drive. Please move your vehicle as soon as possible from this location to make it available for other teams loading and unloading equipment. No motor vehicles are allowed on the field. In addition, no water, power or sewer hook-ups are available for RV’s. Note: RV Drivers should contact Erik Waldman at 407-823-3070 for parking instructions.
Please contact the American Cancer Society at the registration booth for any additional assistance.
