Internet Survey Data

The following data are to be used to create charts suitable for presentations. Suppose that you were given these data and asked to create charts from them. First, decide what data require what kinds of charts. Second, using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, or another suitable application, create useable charts. Be sure to make the print as large as possible. This means that you should use Print Setup to set the output to "landscape" and that you should eliminate headers and footers from the output. Projected Activities

We can gain a short term idea of where the net is heading by looking at what people report they intend to do with the net in the next 12 months. For example, 30% say they plan to use online banking. 15% will use it for travel such as lodging and transportation arrangements. 29% report that they will use it for adult education. 25% of users want to use it to find health/medical related information. Personal investing weighs in at 20%.
