Dr. Richard A. Blum,
Professor of Screenwriting at the University of Central Florida is an
internationally recognized authority in the field.
Dr. Blum served as a consultant for Warner Bros.-TV's prestigious
comedy writers' workshop and as a coordinator and judge for The
Academy of Motion Pictures Arts & Sciences' Nicholl Screenwriting
Fellowships.
As former executive for Columbia Pictures-TV, Dr. Blum worked on such
shows as I DREAM OF JEANNIE, BEWITCHED, and THE PARTRIDGE FAMILY. Dr.
Blum was also a consultant for Columbia Pictures, and served as senior
program officer for the National Endowment for the Humanities, overseeing
many award winning productions.
Dr. Blum has conducted some of the most successful film writing workshops
worldwide. They include: The American Film Institute, The Writers
Guild of America, Harvard University, University of Texas, The National
Academy of TV Arts & Sciences, and in Latin America, the Far East, and
Canada.
