Computer Project Update – A Note From the President

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the computer project is on hold. We have lost the source for the computers that were being donated to us. This was a blow, as I have put many countless hours into this project. But, all is not lost. I have spoken to some key people who think that this is a very worthwhile project. It generated much enthusiasm, and I have learned a lot about wolves in sheep’s clothing. There’s always more to learn in life, isn’t there; we have never arrived.

The Community Foundation is still diligently working to fund the operating systems and software. The UCF Foundation is considering becoming a part of the process. Although Student Government turned us down for assistance, I feel certain that they will help if certain criteria are met. So now all we need is computers. I know one thing for sure. There are computers out there that are donated, and some organizations even pay to have them picked up. So if everyone will keep their ears open, this project may still fly.
