The files linked above use data from mid-June 1997 and should be complete for the 1996-97 academic year. Data should be alphabetical within departments. Line 1 is name and birth-date, followed by M or F, ethnic letter and highest degree. The subsequent 9 digit number is the new, internal, ID number. If there is a ! at the far right of the name entry, it means that more than one resource item is used to created the salary. If possible, multiple appointments are combined under the line with the largest FTE listed.

The second line is non-salary information, by columns:

  1. department
  2. position code
  3. year employed
  4. faculty rank
  5. year of rank
  6. year of tenure, 0 if no tenure
The third line is salary information, by columns:
  1. weeks/year
  2. % of effort
  3. department's OSU code
  4. old salary, taken from last year's data
  5. new salary
The fourth line is all distinct increases:
  1. equity increases (and any grievance settlements)
  2. promotions
  3. across the board
  4. TIP
  5. PEP
  6. counter offers and market equity
  7. DRS county steps
  8. unused
  9. sum of all other increases
  10. date of last change for increases
