INSTRUMENT - Institutional Priorities Survey
Survey developed by Noel Levitz, Inc.

RESPONDENTS - Currently employed faculty/staff.

PURPOSE - Companion survey to the Student Satisfaction Inventory (SSI). Measures faculty/staff perceptions of student satisfaction.

USE OF DATA - Comparison of the student and faculty/staff data may facilitate the discovery of areas that are of highest priority for improvement. Student retention; student recruitment; strategic planning and institutional effectiveness.

INFORMATION COLLECTED - Faculty/staff ratings of student perception - the importance of and their satisfaction with various aspects of campus. The survey covers most aspects of student experience. The survey includes services such as advising, campus life, academic support services, financial aid, registration as well as instructional effectiveness.

ADMINISTRATION AND AVAILABLE DATA - Spring 2001.

INSTRUMENT - College Student Expectations Questionnaire (CSXQ)
Survey developed by the Center for Postsecondary Research and Planning (CPRP) at Indiana University.

RESPONDENTS - Currently employed faculty/staff.

PURPOSE - Assesses faculty/staff expectations of incoming freshman. Companion survey to the College Student Expectations Questionnaire (CSXQ).

USE OF DATA - Comparison of the student and faculty/staff data may facilitate the discovery of areas that are of highest priority for improvement. Outcomes of college; accreditation review; institutional research, planning and assessment; student recruitment and retention; assessment of undergraduate education.

INFORMATION COLLECTED - Faculty/staff expectations of incoming first time in college freshman - expectations for involvement in college activities and community service; predicted satisfaction with college; and expected nature of college learning environments such as expected use of institutional resources such as the library, computers and facilities, expected nature of experiences with faculty and course learning.
