Cords for graduation

This year, NSSLHA will be honoring its’ members with custom NSSLHA cords for graduation. They are available to any undergraduate or graduate with outstanding member status. The requirements for these cords are as follows:

  1. If graduating in the present semester, the member must be eligible for the Certificate of Excellence (12 points)

  2. If graduating in the next semester, the member must have been eligible for ANY certificate (Recognition, ___, or Excellence) in the previous semester and the current semester. (EX: If graduating Spring 2010, you must have any certificate from Fall 2009 AND Fall 2010)

  3. You have held a NSSLHA officer position within the past five years.

Fundraising

Don’t forget about our fundraiser for both PALS and UCF NSSLHA with the coupon cards. Each card is $10. The card has various discounts at local dining places around the UCF Orlando area such as: Checkers, Arby’s, Bangkok Square, Taco Bell, Two Guys Pizzeria, Smoothie King, Backyard Burger, Quiznos, Planet Smoothie, Silvermine Subs, Houlihan’s, Rj Gators, Boston Coffee House, Smokey Bones, and NYPD Pizza. They are perfect for new UCF students! Purchasing one of these cards will give NSSLHA members 2 points! (Maximum pts: 2).

The date is Monday, March 15 (the Monday after Spring Break). The event will start around 4:45 and go until approximately 8. We are asking monetary donations for the following items - 3 lbs of beef, sauce, salad mix, desert, and ice. We are also in need of spaghetti noodles, parmesan cheese, salad dressing (preferably Italian and ranch), plates, cups, and silverware. Please have all donations to us by Thursday, March 4th.

Fluency Symposium

FLUENCY SYMPOSIUM is coming up! This is a great opportunity for all UCF students to learn more about research and fluency and it is free to students! NSSLHA partially sponsors this event, and there is a chance that this will be a great fundraiser for us! We are making baskets for a silent auction and we NEED items! If you know of a store/restaurant/company that would be willing to donate items, please let me know and there is a possibility of up to 3 points!
