The National Student Speech–Language and Hearing Association, University of Central Florida Chapter reflects the purpose of:

Encouraging professional interest among university students in the study of human communicative disorders.
To provide resources regarding professional information.
To provide a vehicle for student representation in matters of professional concern.
Encouraging members to provide community awareness of communicative disorders.
We are the national organization for graduate and undergraduate students interested in the study of normal & disordered human communication. NSSLHA is the only official national student association recognized by ASHA.

Your membership fee includes your choice of ASHA journals and newsletters which update you on the careers in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.
These newsletters give you monthly, updated job listings that can be helpful when you graduate.
After becoming a member of National NSSLHA, you are entitled to discounts on registrations to conventions throughout the entire year.
National NSSLHA gives you a discount on your first year's dues to ASHA when you become a certified clinician.
National NSSLHA offers leadership positions all around the country.
National NSSLHA also gives you another opportunity to get involved with an organization dedicated to your field of study. It can be another student activity to include in your graduate school application.
