Dr. Coverston holds a Juris
Doctor from the University of Florida Levin College of Law (1981) and retains
an inactive status membership in the Florida Bar. He was admitted to practice
in the Southern Florida District U.S. District Court (1982). He practiced law
eight years in Florida in both civil and criminal law. He has worked as a
public defender, an associate in a plaintiff’s personal injury firm and as
partner in his own general practice firm. He teaches the Philosophy of Law (
