Astronaut's Memorial

"Mankind will not forever remain on Earth, but in pursuit of light and space will first timidly emerge from the bounds of the atmosphere, and then first advance until he has conquered the whole of circumsolar space."
-Konstantin Tsiolkovsky, 1911

In memory of those who made the ultimate sacrifice so that others could reach the stars.

Ad Astra per Aspera
A rough road leads to the stars.

Godspeed to the crew
of
Apollo I

These words immortalize the sacrifice made for humanity by the crew of Apollo I.  Without their sacrifice the stars would be beyond our reach.
God save the men of Apollo I, the Space Shuttle Challenger and the Space Shuttle Columbia.  Your sacrifice was not in vain.
