General Meeting Minutes

I. Meeting to Order: 1:15pm

II. Approval of Agenda

III. President’s Report

a. Goals-We outlined our goals for a year. See GOALS sheet.

b. T-shirts-MASA-USF is going to be ordering shirts and wanted to know if we were interested in buying them. Right now they are selling for $22 dollars and if we are interested they could go down to $15. Also, if anyone is interested in entering a design they can do so.

c. Event w/ USF & UF: USF is planning a college informational in one of the agricultural towns. Details coming soon.

d. Diversity day- Learning for Life has invited us to participate in Diversity Day and share our culture with elementary students. A sign-up sheet was passed around. The event will be March 26 from 8:30am-12:00pm.

IV. Vice-President’s Report

a. International Day of Sports: Gian and Gabriel are trying to get a team together to play at this event. It is March 29^th and begins at 9am. Contact either of them for more information.

b. Next event: We have planned a potluck dinner March 28^th at 7pm. Everyone is encouraged to bring a dish. Location is TBA. An e-mail will be sent with more details.

V. Treasurer’s Report

a. Fundraising ideas: Updates were given regarding sponsorship letters. Yesenia will look up places to have carwashes. For the most part we need more ideas for fundraising.

a. Website Committee: Judy needs at least one more person to help her create the website, e-mail her at vera_judith@hotmail.com
