| Thompsons Survive New Couples Therapy Approach June, 2004- Wekiva River, FLPaddling, yelling, sweating, and struggling were the hallmarks of the Thompsons' therapeutic pursuit on Central Florida's Wekiva River. Joined by two other couples, Wendy and Kelvin survived the journey after mastering the art of canoeing by switching front and rear positions. Interestingly the other couples were either more advanced in their relationships or in deep denial since neither exhibited the level of tragi-comedic turmoil as the Thompson canoe. Having survived a day on the river with friends, the Thompsons felt stronger than ever in their relationship.
