Wendy Commandeers WWII Army "Duck"

June, 2002 - Boston, MA

Kelvin watched while Wendy gripped the wheel firmly and steered the old war machine with purpose. Amazingly she didn't bump into any of the boats near her. Boston's "Duck Tours" employ reconditioned amphibious assault vehicles used in World War II (nicknamed "ducks"), and the tour guides drive the brightly colored vehicles through Boston's streets and then right into the Charles River. Kelvin saw this as one of the most memorable events of their trip to Boston. "I'm just glad the 'duck' didn't have operational guns. She might've wanted to shoot them too."

"I'm just glad the 'duck' didn't have...guns."
- Kelvin
