Ritchies Live in "Retirement Home" August, 2000 - Oviedo, FL Wendy's parents (The Ritchies) have downsized into what is expected to become the first of several eventual "retirement homes." It is believed by sources close to Kelvin and Wendy that this move was brought about by a comment made to the Ritchies after the opening of a new "assisted care facility" in the Oviedo area. Apparently the Ritchies decided to build their own "retirement home" and proceeded to purchase, renovate, and move into a charming little home on a canal near John's (Wendy's father) boyhood home in Nokomis, FL (in the metro Venice area). Pam (Wendy's mother) is quoted as saying that, "This won't end. We'll be gypsies forever. John will keep on buying, restoring, and moving into house after house." While neither Ritchie is retired yet, they are apparently planning ahead. It looks like retirement will be a whole lot more work than it used to be. |
