Sources close to Wendy report that this enormous salary increase is probably why she accepted the added responsibility. Waving aside accusations of greed, Wendy said, "I love my team. I just try to make sure everybody has what they need in order to do their jobs. If I was looking for more money, I'd go wait tables at Olive Garden or something."
