Wendy and Kelvin Adopt Orphan

October, 2000 - Winter Springs, FL

"The cries would have ripped your heart out," explains Wendy Thompson. Wendy recently adopted a three month old after stumbling across the abandoned orphan while out for a walk with a friend on the Cross Seminole Trail. The friend who would only identify herself as "tennis scum" said that she knew Wendy would be taking the infant home that day.

The four kittens were true babes in the woods as they stood in an anthill and walked up fearlessly to a fierce looking dog while the two women watched. "We just had to do something," Wendy reports.

After looking for the kittens' owners or at least the mother cat, Wendy and her friend took two of the cats to a local shelter after Wendy claimed one kitten and after another couple offered to adopt another.

Wendy reports that the new kitten, now named "Missy," has made a welcome addition to her household which already had one six year old cat (Lou) and one thirty-three year old husband (Kelvin).
