Wendy Opens Movie Theatre May, 2000 - Winter Springs, FL While some raised eyebrows at her decision, Wendy Thompson recently opened up her home as a movie theatre. Wendy began inviting other women over once per month to see Hollywood movies. "Women today are busy... No preparation is required." - Wendy Thompson After having snacks and watching a movie (some controversial, some touching, others funny), the women discuss some aspect of life as portrayed in the movies. "Women today are busy. The little bit of talking to other women about life that we do on 'Movie Nite' is the only time that some of us get to engage in this type of interaction," says Wendy. "A once per month gathering is easier for women to fit into their schedules than a weekly meeting, and no preparation is required beforehand other than living in our day to day world and showing up at our house."
