As We May Think by Vannevar Bush -- In a 1945 article from The Atlantic, reproduced at this site, Bush proposes a system he calls "Memex" which would provide access to information in a manner which forshadows the development of hypertext.
BUBL Journals: Library and Information Science -- Provides a search engine for journals in library and information science. All journal titles have tables of contents available, many have abstracts and a few have full text.
CLIR Publications (Council on Library and Information Resources) -- Includes newsletters and reports on preservation and access issues.
DigLibns Electronic Discussion [DL SunSITE] -- A discussion list "primarily aimed toward librarians and library staff involved in building digital collections or maintaining digital services." This site carries the archives and instructions for subscribing.

the information is in the form of articles, books, images of paintings, etc.

concentrate on listing other sites which contain the actual information.
