Dr. Judy Lee

Department of Educational Foundations
College of Education
University of Central Florida

As the Coordinator of the Online Educational Media Masters Program, I am responsible for advising Ed Media students, teaching Ed Media Specialization courses, developing partnerships with Central Florida Public Schools, and anything else that needs to be done.

My professional interests over the years have been educational technology and public school media programs and I have 17 years of experience in K-12 public school media centers as a Media Specialist. My academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Educational Technology from the University of Arizona (1988) as well as a Master of Library and Information Management (1979) and Master of Media Arts (1983) from the University of South Carolina.

Professional Activities

The use of technology in public schools has drastically changed the role of the Media Specialist. I believe one way to stay informed and knowledgeable regarding these changes is to become involved in professional organizations.

I encourage students in the Ed Media Program to participate in the following professional organizations:

Personal Notes

I am definitely a beach lover and spend as much time as possible at the Florida beaches.

I am struggling to learn to play golf, travel as often as possible, and recently renovated a 1941 bungalow in downtown Orlando.

If I am at home and do not answer my phone, I am probably in my hammock reading a good book.

Since all of my teaching is done online, most of the working day is spent at a computer.
