In The Farm, Pat Thomas brings to life memories from her childhood. Raised on a farm, this artist has always cherished the tranquility and peace that nature offers. Her interest in painting has always been present in her life, but it was not until raising her family that she could dedicate all of her time and attention to it. For Thomas, painting means having the ability to make an image come alive. She is interested in all kinds of subjects. Thomas is continually amazed by the way the flat surface of the canvas can become something else, and how it is able to transport the viewer to a pleasant and remote place. Painting has given her the opportunity to go to a better place, a place where everybody wishes to be.
