For Jody Feltus, painting is more than a passion. It has become central to her life during the past six years. A writer by profession and a former employee of the Orlando Museum of Art, Feltus finds peace and tranquility in painting. An artist friend encouraged her, taught her and guided her in her first works. Beginning as an outdoor painter, she now enjoys painting in her studio, which overlooks a lake in the Maitland area. Peace Valley summarizes the feelings of peace and joy that painting brings to her life.
Colorful acrylic landscapes, seascapes and still lifes are among Feltus favorite subjects. Her goal when painting is to convey the peaceful nature of the scenery. Feltus wants her art to become known so that she can eventually build a profession from the activity she enjoys most.
Feltus love for painting has also touched the life of her eight-year-old granddaughter, who is taking her first steps into her grandmothers world of color and form.
