Analyzing Travel

So, we have several elements that we need to figure out how to think about travel. We have distinguished different senses of travel. We have thought about the experience of travel. And, we have identified some possible approaches to thinking about travel. So, let's try it.

1. Choose a travel experience of your own that you discussed already, and use one of the theoretical approaches just mentioned, figure out what some good questions would be to ask about that experience.

2. Jeffrey McCarthy's paper is about North American mountaineering. Using one or more of the theoretical approaches, generate some questions about mountaineering. You don't need to use McCarthy's conclusions about the nature of place; just think about the travel involved with climbing a mountain.
