Elliot Vittes, Ph.D.
Director

Dr. Vittes is the Director for the Office of Liberal and Interdisciplinary Studies. He has been at the University of Central Florida since 1983 and has served as Assistant Dean in the College of Arts and Sciences and Chair of Political Science among other administrative duties. He received a Ph.D. from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 1983.

Hilary Newman
Office Manager

Hilary joined the Liberal Studies team in February 2005. She has a BA in Anthropology from Ithaca College in New York and has pursued Veterinary Technology at St. Petersburg College. She has experience in many customer service-related fields such as restaurant management, financial services, and veterinary medicine, as well as college administration. Hilary lived abroad in Iran and Hong Kong and has studied and traveled extensively in Europe, Asia, and Africa. Her future goals include pursuing a Master's degree from UCF.

Lauren Einhorn
Program Assistant

Ms. Einhorn has been the Program Assistant for Liberal Studies since December 2006. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Liberal Studies from the University of Central Florida. As a previous student of the University, and of the Liberal Studies Program, she offers first-hand experience and assistance to students seeking more information about the program.

Laura Fitch

Ms. Fitch joined the Liberal & Interdisciplinary Studies Advising Team in January 2007. She came to UCF from Boston University, where she spent four years advising pre-health professions students. She also gained experience working in career services at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Laura holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Florida and a Master of Education in Higher Education Administration from Harvard University.

Lee Logan

Mr. Logan is a former Air Force Officer who retired in 1989 after almost 26 years in service of his country. He came to the Liberal Studies as an Academic Advisor in November 2001. Prior to his involvement with Liberal Studies, he worked at UCF in Undergraduate Admissions, Graduate Studies, and the Registrar's Office. Mr. Logan has a B.S. in Mathematics and his M.A. in Education.

Sandra Tabert

Ms. Tabert has been an advisor for Liberal Studies since February 2005. She came to the University of Central Florida from Florida Atlantic University, where she worked in the College of Business as an academic advisor for three years. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from FAU and her Master of Arts degree in Educational Leadership from UCF.
