Vision Statement

The vision for HEALS is to develop initiatives that will facilitate the health and well-being of children and adults within the multiple contexts of family, community, and culture at the local, state national, and international level. Health and well-being are defined through an interactive process that includes the spiritual, physical, psychosocial, emotional, and mental processes. This vision is guided by HEALS efforts in (a) the generation of new knowledge through research, (b) education and training, (c) program development and evaluation, and (d) the acquisition of resources through gifts, grants, fellowships, and community support.
